On this private tour, you will visit some of the best wineries on the Pelješac Peninsula, learn about wine production, and taste a superb selection of Croatian wines made from the indigenous Plavac Mali grape. Your driver will also be your personal guide throughout the day. The tour follows a scenic coastal drive to the historic town of Ston, where you will enjoy a short walking tour through the narrow streets of this medieval town. After Ston, you will visit an oyster farm and taste fresh oysters straight from the sea — a truly unforgettable experience.
Next, we continue to the wine-tasting part of the excursion. Our first stop is Miloš Winery, an award-winning estate. Frano Miloš, a renowned olive oil and wine producer, runs a 15-hectare vineyard just beyond Ston, in the village of Ponikve. His sons, Josip and Ivan, will guide you through a tasting of their signature wines — dry Plavac Mali, unfiltered, and aged in Slavonian oak barrels.
After tasting at Miloš Winery, you will continue to Violić Winery, home of Sagul wines. These wines are crafted from the indigenous Plavac Mali variety, which was created by crossing two ancient Dalmatian grapes — Crljenak Kaštelanski (known internationally as Zinfandel or Primitivo) and Dobričić.
